The Boeing 737 MAX is the latest generation of the 737 family. Its most widespread variant, the 737 MAX 8, accommodates 160 to 189 passengers. Boeing quotes a maximum range of approximately 6,480 km and around 20% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, under the manufacturer’s stated comparison conditions.
For aircraft charter, the 737 MAX 8 can carry groups of 150 to 189 passengers on a single flight. Its range can accommodate longer journeys than a fully loaded 737-800, including routes between Paris and Doha. We also compare it with the Airbus A321 according to your group’s requirements.
At Artheau Aviation, we arrange aircraft rental for seminars, conventions and sports-related travel. We source available aircraft, compare operators and coordinate your charter flight through to your group’s arrival.

The charter price of a 737 MAX covers the entire aircraft, regardless of how many seats are occupied. It depends on flight time, aircraft positioning, airport charges, ground handling and time spent waiting at the destination. For a same-day return, the aircraft and crew may wait on site; we check that crew duty-time limits allow this.
Lower fuel consumption may reduce the fuel component of the cost, particularly on longer flights. However, aircraft availability and operating conditions also affect pricing. We compare offers for the 737 MAX, 737-800 and A321.
Each proposal is individually quoted after consulting several operators. We explain the services included and the factors that may affect the price before you confirm.
The 737 MAX combines seating capacity for large groups with greater range than the 737-800, depending on the variant and operating conditions.
A large group can travel together on one aircraft, on its preferred schedule.
Approximately 6,480 km according to Boeing: the Middle East or the Canary Islands may be reached nonstop from Paris, depending on payload.
According to Boeing, LEAP-1B engines reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by approximately 20% under its stated comparison conditions.
A latest-generation aircraft with a more modern cabin than older 737 variants.
Its limitation: the 737 MAX is less common than the 737-800 in the charter market, and availability varies by season. For groups exceeding 189 passengers or longer flights, a wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A340 may be more suitable.
Boeing quotes a maximum range of approximately 6,480 km for the 737 MAX 8, almost 1,300 km more than the 737-800. With a full passenger load and baggage, the achievable range may be shorter. For every charter project, we ask the operator to confirm feasibility based on payload, winds and alternate-airport requirements.
From Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the 737 MAX 8 can fly nonstop to Tel Aviv (approximately 3,280 km), Dakar (4,220 km), Jeddah (4,430 km), Riyadh (4,650 km) or Doha (4,970 km). Dubai, at around 5,240 km, may also be possible depending on payload and operating conditions.
For longer routes, or when a full group and substantial baggage bring the aircraft close to its limits, we may recommend an Airbus A321 LR or XLR, or a wide-body aircraft.

In December 2022, a travel agency working with the French Football Federation contacted us after France qualified for the final against Argentina, scheduled for December 18 in Qatar. We had 48 hours to arrange travel for approximately 180 supporters to Doha. The plan involved a same-day round trip, with an overnight return after the match.
The final pairing was confirmed only shortly beforehand, leaving little time to plan. Within two days, we needed to identify an available aircraft, assess the operator and confirm the schedule with the agency.
We contacted several operators simultaneously to find an aircraft with around 180 seats available on Sunday, together with a crew able to operate both flights.
Paris to Doha is approximately 4,970 km. With an almost full passenger load, the route required the nonstop capability offered by the 737 MAX 8 under the day’s operating conditions.
Its seating capacity suited the group, while lower fuel consumption was an advantage for a round trip of almost 10,000 km in one day.
On the day of the final, Doha International Airport experienced exceptionally high flight traffic. Securing an arrival slot and an overnight departure slot required extensive coordination with the airport and authorities.
The aircraft also had to remain at the airport during the match. We worked with the relevant teams to secure a parking stand despite exceptionally high demand.
Three members of our team accompanied the supporters and monitored the outbound and return flights.
On arrival, ground transport took the group from the airport to the stadium. After the match, it returned them to the aircraft for the overnight flight back to Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
This mission demonstrates the value of chartering an aircraft for last-minute sports travel: securing a suitable aircraft within 48 hours, arranging slots and parking at a congested airport, and entrusting coordination to one broker with a team on site.
Tell us your route, dates, passenger count and baggage requirements. For a last-minute event, let us know immediately so we can begin searching.
We contact several operators, check aircraft and slot availability, and present one or more options with a breakdown of included services.
After confirmation, we coordinate operators, airports, passenger lists and transfers. Your main contact remains available until the group arrives.
We do more than find an available aircraft. From your first request to landing, our teams coordinate every stage of your charter.
Your dedicated broker remains your main point of contact throughout your journey, from the initial request to your arrival.

We review operators, aircraft and operational requirements to check that each proposed solution meets our safety and compliance standards.
Pricing is quoted for the entire aircraft. It depends on flight time, aircraft positioning, airport charges and waiting time at the destination. We explain all included services before confirmation.
Boeing lists 160 to 180 seats in a two-class layout and up to 189 in a single-class layout. We confirm the actual configuration in each proposal.
Boeing quotes up to approximately 6,480 km, with a shorter achievable range at full passenger load. From Paris, this can cover Europe, North Africa, West Africa and much of the Gulf, depending on payload.
Their seating capacities are similar. The 737 MAX has newer, more fuel-efficient engines and a longer range. The 737-800 is more widely available; we recommend the aircraft best suited to your route, budget and dates.
Both are modern narrow-body aircraft. The A321neo often offers more seats and, in LR or XLR versions, greater range. The choice depends largely on aircraft availability for your dates.
Yes, subject to availability. For the France–Argentina 2022 World Cup final, we sourced a 737 MAX 8 in two days. At major events, airport slots and parking may be harder to secure than the aircraft itself.
As early as possible, especially in peak season and during major sporting events. Early enquiries allow us to compare more operators and secure airport slots.
